Cargo Workshop, Inc. is a family business founded in 2015 by brother-in-laws Dylan Gould and Javier Carcamo. Before venturing into design/build, Javier and Dylan were the principals of Cargo A.D., Inc. - a boutique interior design firm - which they founded in 2007. Prior to that they both worked for several internationally acclaimed design studios.
Never afraid to jump into the deep end, we felt that the only way to realize our client’s visions, without sacrifices, was to build them ourselves. Cargo Workshop was born from our yearning to master the craft of construction - stemming from our appreciation of the art of building, the nuances of details & materiality, and our belief in the value of craftsmanship.
Whether we are designing and building a project, or building an already designed project - we are better builders because we are accomplished designers, and we are better designers because we know how to build.
As the Director of Design, Dylan is responsible for the strategic planning & comprehensive design for all of our projects. For more than 20 years, Dylan has been recognized for his leadership skills, design acumen, and the his high standards for exceptional design.
Dylan’s first exposure to design and construction came from his time spent behind the scenes of Broadway, and International, musical productions. Growing up with a Set Designer father and Fashion Designer mother, Dylan has been immersed in the world of design for as long as he can remember. Watching the scene shops create universes from lumber, canvas and paint instilled a passion and appreciation for the power of design - the subtle story behind materials - and the craft of turning concepts into reality.

Javier, who was born in Peru, brings a hands-on approach to our company.
